Hi, I’m Kelly. I am an artist of many mediums, always searching for ways to connect with my creative side. I am very empathetic and spiritual. I have a deep connection and love for animals and nature around me. I am a lover of all things spooky and dark. I am currently on a journey to grow my hair to Rapunzel status. I cut my hair in July of 2020 and have been happily growing since. :)
Besides haircare, you can always find me out exploring nature and going on adventures with my partner and our cat. I enjoy reading, art, gardening, camping, music, and nail care. I love making things provided by nature, whether it is self care things (hair/skin/nail masks, oils, etc.) or things like my own teas, tools, and decorations. I enjoy meditation, yoga, and spirit work.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TEXTURE OF YOUR HAIR?
My hair is naturally straight and full. My hair can tend to be on the dryer side and is often prone to dry, brittle split ends because of that.
HOW DID YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
Before The Innate Life, I used drugstore products which did not help the dryness and state of my hair. If I am honest, I never really took good care of my hair until the past couple of years when I started my long hair journey. My ends were brittle and broke easily. I had leftover dye on my ends from years prior. When I decided I wanted to pursue my hair growth journey in the most natural way, I started learning about ayurvedic herbs. I began to do more research and started to explore with them in my haircare.
WHAT MADE YOU SEEK OUT THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS? HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE COMPANY?
When I first started my hair journey, I created an Instagram account to keep track of my journey. I found and became friends with many long-haired ladies who all loved and recommended The Innate Life products. When I began to do my own research on them, I fell in love with their natural, organic, plant-based ingredients. I enjoyed that they were cruelty-free and didn’t contain harsh chemicals. I loved that they utilized ayurvedic herbs and decided to give them a try.

WHAT IS YOUR HAIRCARE ROUTINE NOW?
I currently wash my hair once a week. The night before my wash, one of the products I enjoy using is The Innate Life Scalp Treatment. I massage it into my scalp and let it work its magic. I cover my head with a bonnet and wash it out the next morning.
Another product I really enjoy is the Rose Hair Elixir. I love to apply it after washing on my wet ends, and also again before bedtime when I braid my hair. The oil smells so heavenly and it really helps keep my hair and ends soft, smooth, and split-free. I switch between a couple different brands for shampoo and conditioner, but The Innate Life Herbal Shampoo + Conditioner (discontinued) is one I always have on hand. I love how clean the Shampoo makes my hair feel, and the Conditioner (discontinued) always leaves my hair so soft and fluffy. Not to mention, I love the way they smell and the ingredients in them.

HOW DID YOU SEE YOUR HAIR CHANGE AFTER USING THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
The Rose Hair Elixir has helped my hair and ends. My ends are happy and healthy and they do not suffer from dry split ends like they used to. My hair length continues to be smooth and shiny. After using the Scalp Treatment, I noticed my scalp and temple areas start sprouting many new baby hairs. I am also happy with how it has helped with the overall growth and health of my hair.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOU TO SEE RESULTS?
I noticed results from the Rose Hair Elixir pretty instantly, but with consistent use I noticed how it had improved my length and ends’ health permanently within the first month. With consistent use of the Scalp Treatment, I saw improvement and lots of new growth within 3 months, and a dramatic amount of growth after a year, even with multiple trims in between. I still have baby hairs growing all over my head like a chia pet, haha.
WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCT AND WHY?
It is so hard for me to choose. I have to say I love the Rose Hair Elixir and Scalp Treatment equally, because they have both been a huge factor in the improvement of my hair health and growth on my journey.
