I enjoy counted cross-stitch, crocheting, crafting, and making things with my hands. It's such a sense of accomplishment to receive a compliment on a sweater I crocheted and being able to say, "Thanks... I made it myself!"
When I was four years old, I told my mom that I wanted hair long enough to sit on someday. Throughout my school years, my friends would occasionally show up to school with a cute new haircut, which would make me want to cut my hair short as well. It wasn't until I was around 18 that I decided to really try and reach my goal of classic length hair. I got pretty close until 2015, when my hair began to thin out. I went to the doctor, who diagnosed me with anemia.
My condition had been left untreated long enough that my body went into ‘survival mode’ and began focusing on keeping my organs functioning, rather than growing hair. This meant that as my hair would naturally shed, it would not be replaced with new growth. I worked with my doctor, and we corrected the problem. I began to notice new growth, and in 2017 I decided to cut my hair to below my shoulders to remove the thinned section of my hair, and I began my journey to classic length once again.

Thick and naturally wavy.
HOW DID YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
I didn't pay too much attention to my haircare, I just used whatever shampoo and conditioner I had when I would wash my hair.
WHAT MADE YOU SEEK OUT THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS? HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE COMPANY?
When I cut my hair shorter in 2017, I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to encourage my hair to grow faster. I came across Holistic Habits, and watched one of her videos where she talked about The Innate Life products. I tried a few of her recommendations, but The Innate Life was what worked the best for me and gave me the results I wanted. I've been using these products ever since.
WHAT SETS THE INNATE LIFE APART FROM OTHER COMPANIES IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY?
Through trial and error, I've found that I don't seem to respond as well to coconut oil. It seems to make my already oily-prone scalp more oily, so I love the fact that the majority of their products (including their reformulated Scalp Treatment!) do not contain coconut oil. Plus, all the natural herbs that The Innate Life uses... you don't find that anywhere else.
WHAT IS YOUR HAIRCARE ROUTINE NOW?
My scalp tends to be on the oily side, so I wash my hair three times a week. I use the Rosemary Scalp Treatment and Herbal Hair Mask once a week. I let both sit on my hair for a few hours before washing out with The Innate Life Shampoo and Conditioner (discontinued). I then spritz Neroli Hair Primer mostly on the roots of my hair, and The Innate Life Leave-in Conditioner on the lengths of my hair. Once my hair is mostly dry, I apply a couple of drops of the Rose Hair Elixir, and continue using just a few drops of the Rose Hair Elixir daily until my next wash day.
HOW DID YOU SEE YOUR HAIR CHANGE AFTER USING THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
It has become softer, and less frizzy. I also notice fewer split ends!
WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCT AND WHY?
The Rosemary Scalp Treatment. Since healthy hair begins at the roots, I feel it's best to start there.

HOW DOES THE INNATE LIFE FIT INTO A LIFESTYLE COMMITTED TO HEALTH + WELLNESS?
The products are made with natural ingredients and some great herbs (Bhringaraj can stop premature greying? Yes, please!). I'm a believer that natural products perform just as well, if not better than their counterparts, and are better for our overall health.
