HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TEXTURE OF YOUR HAIR?
I have mixed hair textures on my head, so there are sections that are low porosity and some that are high porosity. I have straight hair, wavy hair, and curly cues. I was born with stick straight hair though, but my hair texture changed as I got into my teens and older. The curly hair comes from my dad and the straight hair comes from my mom. My genes couldn’t pick just one.
HOW DID YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
I bounced around from product to product trying to see if anything made a difference, and I suffered from an itchy flaky scalp unfortunately as well. I was trying natural products and conventional products to no avail.

WHAT IS YOUR HAIRCARE ROUTINE NOW?
I like to rotate between shampoo and conditioners, it seems my hair really likes the rotation. Most of the time I like to use another shampoo and conditioner. I just shampoo as needed. My hair is very fine and gets weighed down easily so I think I probably need to wash my hair more, I’ve learned. I need to wash my hair more than once a week for sure. I very rarely use heat on my hair. I only blow dry on occasion to get the last bit of dampness out of my hair if I’m feeling like it. I sleep on a silk pillowcase to avoid breakage from tossing and turning at night. As for Scalp Treatment and Hair Mask, I do stick to The Innate Life because my hair and scalp don’t ‘get used’ to it. I like to do my hair and scalp masks on a weekly basis. I apply the masks in sections, as the instructions say on the packaging. I sleep with it on my head overnight and wash out the next day. Before I go to bed, I do a little scalp massage to really work the product into my scalp.
HOW DID YOU SEE YOUR HAIR CHANGE AFTER USING THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
My hair slowly got softer, shinier, less frizzy and more manageable. Also it grew in faster and the areas around my temples started to fill in as well. It takes time and you have to stick with it, but it’s worth it.
