Hey! My name is Shawaz, I am a software engineer with busy projects. I’m a gal with naturally beautiful thick curly hair and I didn’t have to take care of it. My hair story changed after I moved to Seattle in 2019 – my hair started to look and feel dry + frizzy, with huge hair loss that may be due to the weather or water. I started to take care of it and ended up spending a huge amount on drug store products which never helped. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TEXTURE OF YOUR HAIR?
Dry and frizzy, just like dry grass. With no strength, my hair loss was huge (you will find my hair everywhere in my home and car). My hair journey is still in progress but I came a long way. I had long and brittle hair that I used to straighten all the time, whereas now I’m actually embracing my natural wavy hair.

WHAT IS YOUR HAIRCARE ROUTINE NOW?
It's a new ritual for me, as guided on the website. I use The Innate Life Scalp Treatment + Herbal Hair Mask, leave them in overnight, and wash my hair the next day. I use the Herbal Shampoo + Conditioner (discontinued), put on a deep conditioner, and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then I use the Neroli Hair Primer + Leave-in Conditioner which is amazing on my hair and scalp. It smells so refreshing. After the hair is fully dried up, I use Rose Hair Elixir to seal everything in and re-apply the hair oil every day to my ends, sometimes twice a day depending if my hair needs it. I love the way it makes my hair feel and smell!
HOW DID YOU SEE YOUR HAIR CHANGE AFTER USING THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
This is a good one – I was all excited to use the products and eager to see the results fast. But after using the products, my hair fall increased. As my scalp was already irritated + sensitive, using the Scalp Treatment was challenging. I emailed to check if it's normal and I got a confirmation that initial hair loss is a normal process. I got more curious to know how others are using it, then I learned to stop overapplying and started to make a routine to use it. I started seeing a change within a couple of weeks. I saw new hair and it felt like after every hair wash, my scalp is saying 'thank you'! I not only got my hair texture back but also beautiful mermaid hair. It enhanced my curls and shine. I love it!!!
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOU TO SEE RESULTS?
First was my scalp, which improved after two hair washes. Then new baby hairs began to grow within a month. Texture took about 2-3 months and beautiful hair by 6 months.
