I have always embraced my natural curls as an extension of who I am. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. This illness, along with many medications, caused significant hair loss. This journey has led me to value health and wellness, both physically and mentally. I am proud to say that I have regained the health of my body and my hair!
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE TEXTURE OF YOUR HAIR?
I have 3a/3b curly hair. It is very fine, thin, and somewhat dry.
HOW DID YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE INNATE LIFE PRODUCTS?
Before The Innate Life, I would buy whatever ‘curl-enhancing’ product I could find at the grocery store. I was often left with dry, brittle, stringy curls.

I first heard about The Innate Life through a curly hair influencer. She posted a review of the Scalp Treatment and I knew I had to try it. I was drawn to the possibility of healthy hair through natural and clean products.

WHAT IS YOUR HAIRCARE ROUTINE NOW?
I wash my hair about 2-3 times per week.
I first prep my wash day by using the Scalp Treatment, and then follow with a gentle wash. After I wash, while my hair is still very wet, I use a small amount of a curl definer product. With this product in my hair, I define my curls by finger rolling. When my desired look is achieved, I scrunch my curls with more of that product to set and define. I usually let my hair air dry about 75% and then diffuse my hair dry. When my hair is dry, I use the Rose Hair Elixir to smooth out any frizz and seal in moisture. After this, my curls are set for a good 3 days! To refresh in between wash days, I use a bit of water and more of the Rose Hair Elixir to smooth and define.

The biggest change I have seen using The Innate Life products is hair growth! I was struggling to regain the health of my hair during my illness. Since using these products, my hair has grown and is healthier than ever!

My favorite product is the Scalp Treatment. I truly believe that it helped me regain my natural growth. I have been able to achieve healthy hair once again!
